The opening is part of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations in Thailand, so if you have been following the anniversary from home, our Pokémon 30th anniversary guide for Singapore covers the wider picture.
When does Pokémon Center Bangkok open?
The Pokémon Company’s Asia press release of 16 September 2026 says: “Pokémon Center BANGKOK is set to open in December 2026, located on the 6th floor of centralwOrld.” Check the official Pokémon Thailand pages for the exact day before you plan a trip.
| Detail | What the official sources say | Source date |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | December 2026, 6th floor of centralwOrld | 16 Sep 2026 |
| Hours | Daily, 10am to 10pm, subject to centralwOrld’s hours and holidays | 16 Sep 2026 |
| Nearest station | BTS Chit Lom (E1), Sukhumvit Line | 16 Sep 2026 |
Where is it and how to get there
The store is inside centralwOrld. The official address in the 16 September release is:
“centralwOrld, C604/2 Level 6, 4, 4/1-4/2, 4/4 Ratchadamri Road, Pathum Wan, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330”
The Pokémon Thailand shop page gives the same address in Thai.
For the train, both pages list the nearest station as “BTS Skytrain (Sukhumvit Line), Chit Lom Station (E1)”. The official pages don’t give walking directions from the station, so we won’t guess a route. Use the mall’s own signs or a map app once you are there, and head for Level 6.
Opening hours
The official hours are “Daily, 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM”, which we’d write as daily, 10am to 10pm. That comes with a note: “Subject to centralwOrld’s operating hours and holiday schedule”.
In practice, the store keeps the mall’s hours. If centralwOrld changes its hours on a public holiday or for any other reason, the store’s hours can change with it. Bangkok is one hour behind Singapore, so 10am in Bangkok is 11am in Singapore time. Worth remembering if you are checking updates from home before you fly.
What Pokémon Center Bangkok sells
According to The Pokémon Company’s 26 October announcement, “the store will offer a wide range of merchandise, including Pokémon Trading Card Game products, plush toys and special edition items”. The September release describes the visit as “shopping for official Pokémon merchandise”.
That’s as far as the official word goes for now. No item list has been published yet, so we won’t name products or say what will be exclusive.
The biggest Pokémon Center outside Japan
The Pokémon Company also describes the store as having “the largest floor area of any Pokémon Center outside Japan”. That is its own claim, and it hasn’t published a size figure with it, so we won’t give one either.
Shaymin is the store’s symbol
The September release says “the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin has been chosen as the symbol of Pokémon Center BANGKOK”. It adds that “The store’s logo features Pikachu and Shaymin”, and that “Pikachu and Shaymin welcome guests at the store’s vibrant, open entrance.”
Tips before you visit
A few things to know before you plan a trip around the opening.
- No opening card giveaway. The September release is clear: “Please note that there will be no Pokémon card giveaway to commemorate the opening of Pokémon Center BANGKOK.” Don’t plan your visit around one.
- Check the mall’s hours. Store hours follow centralwOrld’s, including its holiday schedule, so check close to your travel date.
- Watch for the lineup release. The 26 October announcement says: “Further details on the product lineup and other updates regarding the opening will be shared in a press release from Pokémon Thailand later this week.” Keep an eye on the Pokémon Thailand shop page and Pokémon Thailand on Facebook for it.
- Opening details can change: check the official Pokémon Thailand pages before you travel.
If you pick up cards on the trip, remember that card editions can differ between regions. Our guide to Japanese vs English trading cards explains how to tell editions apart, so check the language and set details on the pack before you pay.
