Yu-Gi-Oh! Beyond the Brave comes out in Asian-English on Saturday 14 November 2026, according to Konami Asia. It is a Yu-Gi-Oh! booster set that has already been released in Japanese (18 July 2026) and in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG (9 October 2026). Below we cover the Asian-English date, whether these cards are OCG or TCG, how the Japanese and TCG versions compare, the main themes, and what Konami Asia lists next.
Beyond the Brave Asian-English release date
Konami Asia’s Beyond the Brave product page lists the set under Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Duel Monsters, as a Basic Pack, with a release date of 14 November 2026. The box shown on that page is marked “English Edition for Asia” and “5 cards per pack”. Konami has not published a release time, so we won’t guess one.
The same set has already come out in two other versions. Here is how the three compare, using only what Konami lists on each official page.
| Version | Game | Release date | What Konami lists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese | Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG | 18 July 2026 | 80 card types, 5 cards per pack, 30 packs per box |
| TCG (North America) | Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG | 9 October 2026 | Set size 100 |
| Asian-English | Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG | 14 November 2026 | 5 cards per pack (box image); card list not yet published |
The Japanese details come from Konami Japan’s Beyond the Brave page, and the TCG details from Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Beyond the Brave page. As of 4 November, Konami Asia’s product page does not give an Asian-English card count, and the set is not yet in the Asian-English pack list of Konami’s card database. The Japanese and TCG versions are different sizes, so we won’t assume the Asian-English count matches either one until Konami lists it.
Is the Asian-English set OCG or TCG?
It is OCG. Konami Asia files Beyond the Brave under Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Duel Monsters, and Konami’s card legality page says cards printed in Japanese, Korean, Chinese or “Asian English” (that is, Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG cards) “can only be played in Asian territories and are not legal for use in Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG events.”
So Asian-English Beyond the Brave cards are English-language OCG cards, not TCG cards, even though the set shares its name with the TCG release. If you are building a deck, check which format your playgroup uses. Our guide to Japanese vs English trading cards explains the language and format differences in more detail.
Beyond the Brave themes
Konami’s Japanese and TCG pages both feature the same headline themes. The English names below are the ones Konami uses on its TCG page. Asian-English card names will be confirmed when Konami publishes the card list.
Dark Time Wizard and Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed
The headline theme draws on Joey Wheeler’s cards and revolves around Dark Time Wizard, a Quick-Play Spell with two effects. One adds a card that mentions Dark Time Wizard from your Deck to your hand. The other is a coin toss: call it right and all of your opponent’s monsters are destroyed, call it wrong and yours are. The new Fusion Monster Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed is the ace that ties into it.
Destiny HERO
Aster Phoenix’s Destiny HERO cards get new support. On the TCG page these include Doom Overlord, Destro-Dogma and Dreadnought Master.
Atlantis and Daedalus
The Field Spell Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon leads a new group of cards with new Daedalus Link Monsters. The theme’s monsters treat their names as “Umi” while on the field, and Atlantis lowers the Levels of monsters in both players’ hands and on the field by 1.
Ashtra
Ashtra is a Trap-based theme that works with face-down cards. Its Trap Cards can also be Summoned as Tuner monsters, and its boss monsters are Synchro Monsters.
The Japanese page also features new cards for several other themes, plus support for older ones. Konami has not yet confirmed whether every Japanese card appears in the Asian-English set.
What the Japanese and TCG editions included
Since Konami Asia has not yet listed Asian-English contents, here is what Konami published for the other two versions. Treat this as background, not a preview of the Asian-English box.
- Japanese rarities: 4 Ultimate Rare, 8 Ultra Rare, 10 Super Rare, 18 Rare and 40 Normal cards. 24 cards also come as Prismatic Secret Rare, 4 of which are “Overframe” cards, and 30 cards also come as Secret Rare. Konami notes that one box will not complete all 80 cards, and that specifications may change.
- Japanese +1 Expansion Pack: first-production Japanese boxes include a +1 Expansion Pack with 15 card types at 1 card per pack: 14 Ultra Rare reprints, 4 of them with new artwork, plus 1 token.
- TCG rarities: 10 Secret Rare, 14 Ultra Rare, 26 Super Rare and 50 Common cards. 5 cards also come as extended art Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares, and 20 more as Starlight Rares.
What else is on Konami Asia’s schedule
Konami Asia lists Creation Pack 14 for 26 December 2026, the next entry in the series we covered in our Creation Pack 13 guide. Konami Asia also lists Immortal Phoenix, a Japanese Basic Pack released on 31 October 2026. No Asian-English date for Immortal Phoenix appears on Konami Asia’s product pages yet.
