Disney Lorcana Hyperia City prereleases on Friday 16 October 2026 and is available everywhere from Friday 23 October 2026, according to Ravensburger’s Hyperia City announcement. The official Disney Lorcana event locator already lists Hyperia City prerelease events at Singapore game stores from 16 October, but Ravensburger has not published a separate Singapore release date.
The set brings a new mechanic called ink drops, the debut of characters from Disney and Pixar’s Coco, and a new keyword. Here are the dates, what to expect at a prerelease, how ink drops work and what comes after Hyperia City.

Hyperia City prereleases: what to expect
A prerelease lets you play the newest set before it reaches mass retailers. Ravensburger’s Hyperia City prerelease guide says the events are hosted at local game stores, and it points players to the official Disney Lorcana Play Network at tcg.ravensburgerplay.com to find one, make an account and sign up. When we checked on 12 October, that locator showed Hyperia City prereleases at Singapore stores on the evening of 16 October, and at least one store had a later date too. Each event shows a player cap, so check the listing before you go.
What is in a prerelease box
Hyperia City prerelease boxes are sold at the event. Each one has six booster packs, four damage dice and one random promo card, plus a map of the town as a story keepsake.
Prerelease formats
The guide names two formats:
- Sealed, the most common prerelease format: you open six booster packs and build a 40-card deck on the spot. You can use cards from all six inks, and the usual four-copy limit does not apply.
- Pack Rush, a beginner-friendly option: you use just two boosters for a 24-card deck, not restricted to two inks. The marketing card in each pack goes into your inkwell as ink, you draw five cards instead of seven, and the first to 15 lore wins.

Ink drops: the new mechanic in Hyperia City
Ink drops are the headline change. Ravensburger’s set release notes for Hyperia City describe an ink drop as a counter, not a card, so it is never shuffled into your deck. When a card says you get an ink drop, you put one in your inkwell. Whenever you pay an ink cost, you can remove ink drops to pay 1 ink each, on their own or together with your ink cards. There is no cap on how many you can hold or spend, but each one is used once and then removed.
Printed ink drops come in Hyperia City booster packs. If you don’t have any, the release notes say you can use dice or other objects instead.
The Ink Drop Deep Dive by the set’s game development lead adds that every ink colour combination can make ink drops, not just Sapphire, and that you can spend them the same turn you make them. Three examples from that article:
- Tadashi Hamada: Making Waves makes 2 ink drops when it is banished.
- Higitus Figitus, a song, gives you 3 ink drops.
- Jousting Match deals 2 damage to a chosen character, or 5 damage if you use an ink drop to play it.
Adventurous and other rules updates
Hyperia City also adds a new keyword, Adventurous: “This character can’t challenge and must quest each turn if able.” Mickey Mouse: Best in Town is one of the cards with it, and five older cards are being updated to the new wording. The Gargoyles’ Stone by Day ability, first seen in Whispers in the Well, returns on cards such as Lexington and Brooklyn. The Comprehensive Rules have been updated to version 2.3 alongside the set.
Which Disney characters are in Hyperia City
These are the characters Ravensburger has named on its official pages so far:
- Coco (debut): glimmers of Miguel Rivera and the Rivera family, Héctor and Ernesto de la Cruz, across Amber, Amethyst and Ruby inks. The Marigold District is where they perform.
- Iconic cards: Mickey Mouse: Best in Town and Cinderella: Unintentional Icon. Ravensburger calls Iconic cards the rarest in the game.
- Big Hero 6: Honey Lemon, Go Go Tomago, Wasabi and Tadashi Hamada, experimenting with ink drops at the city’s M.A.G.I.C. academy.
- Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and Gazelle: Judy and Nick are investigating ink drops, while a Gazelle glimmer headlines a concert.
- Princesses and more: glimmers of Ariel, Cinderella and Rapunzel in new city outfits, according to Ravensburger’s Creative Spotlight on Hyperia City, along with Madam Mim and Cruella de Vil.
What comes after Hyperia City
Ravensburger’s press release says Into the Inkdark is the first set of 2027, where a Hades glimmer is up to something in the depths beneath the realm of Lorcana. It also introduces collector boosters, which will be available at select Ravensburger Play Hub stores and Disney Parks and stores. Booster packs and collector boosters both hold 12 cards, but the new Illustrious cards appear only in collector boosters. Illustrious cards are the first serialised Disney Lorcana cards, with six in each set.
After that, Cosmic Quest arrives in spring 2027, with glimmers of Ariel and Flounder, Stitch and his fellow experiments, and WALL•E and EVE for the first time.
